Grade 2

Week of June 24-27

Hi Grade Two Families,
Hooray! Congratulations! We have made it to the last week of school!
Last week we had an exciting time with a visit from the seminarian we pray for Luis, a special afternoon with Mrs. Boily and Fun Day! Luis came and spoke to them about his time in the seminary, how he felt God’s call and showed off his Rubik’s cube skills. The students enjoyed their time in Grade 3 and are looking forward to being the primary leaders. Fun Day was loads of fun full of cheering and exciting activities.
This week the fun continues! We’re hoping the weather will be on our side but please note picnic details below. As per Mrs. Ong’s email, there will be no drop off or pick up on the east side of the school for the remainder of the school year because they are in the process of demolishing the old church.
I have had the best time teaching your children! We (I mean I) have been lamenting leaving them behind because of their beautiful personalities. They are incredibly sweet, very kind and the excited learners! It truly was a joy-filled year full of positive attitudes and happy memories! I hope you have the best summers with loads of special family moments!

Here are the reminders for the week:

  • Regular school time start at 8:45 am
  • Come to school in play clothes for outside
    • Please dress appropriately for the weather
  • Please bring a small backpack with water, a snack for the morning, water shoes and a towel (if they plan on playing in the water)

Our fingers are crossed that the weather tomorrow will be in our favour! If there is a need to cancel the picnic due to weather, you will be notified as soon as possible on Monday morning.

Please note that parents and others visiting the park must park in designated parking stalls only or on the street. Please do not park around the perimeter of the parking lot as this is a no parking zone. Please also note that we are responsible for removing all of our garbage/compost/recyclables from the park when we leave.
