Grade 2

Week of Feb. 10 – 14

Hi Grade Two Families,

We have a short week ahead, but it is still action-packed and filled with lots happening!

On Tuesday we will have our first round of Speech Arts presentations! Each student will have an opportunity to share their poem with the Grade 2 class, myself and another judge. We will be looking to see who presents their poem clearly, at the right speed, with expression, eye contact and stance.  After we watch all the presentations, we will deliberate and get back to you on who has qualified for the second round. You and your child will find out by Wednesday afternoon at the latest. Thank you for all the preparations you are doing with your child! I cannot wait to see them share their poems!

If you have Valentine’s cards or treats to share with the class, please bring them in on Tuesday or Wednesday as there is no school on Valentine’s day. Please note that this is optional.

This is our last week in the first half of the First Communion preparations. Please take the long weekend to catch up on any incomplete work in their Gold Book, especially since we have a short week at school.
