Grade 2

Week of Dec. 17 – 21

Hi Grade Two Families!
Happy Third Sunday of Advent! It is the week of joy where we celebrate how near the coming of Jesus is at Christmas time! There are certainly joyous occasions to celebrate this week!Thank you very much for the wonderfully fun Advent party! It was a lot of fun and so well organized. The children had a blast and we truly appreciated it all. Thank you also very much for the David’s Tea gift. I was amazed at the tea-tumbler contraption and can’t wait to start using it.
With the upcoming week being quite busy, we will put a pause on some of our regular routines such as the Agenda books and the Home Reading program. Your child is certainly still encouraged to read for at least 20 minutes a day, and you can continue to log them into the folder. They can choose books from the classroom, or read books from home. We will continue on with our regular programs after the Christmas holidays.
A big thank you to the parents who volunteered to help with the changing! Please see the list below of the parents for the afternoon and the evening performances. We are still looking for two more parents for both the afternoon, so if you are able to volunteer, please let me know. If you are volunteering for the afternoon performance, please be at school by 12:25 pm. If you are volunteering for the evening performance, please be at school by 6:15 pm.
