Week of Apr. 26-30

Hi Grade Two Families,

It was so nice seeing many of you at the Student-Led Conferences! Thank you for visiting your child’s classroom and for celebrating their learning with them. It was wonderful listening to your children talk about what they have accomplished at school and seeing them take pride in all their work!

This week, we also celebrated Earth Day! The Grade Two’s started learning about the water cycle and discussed ways they could save water. They understood the importance of taking care of the Earth and all of God’s creation!

This coming week, Grade Two will be going to Confession. In class, the students will review the steps of Confession and Act of Contrition as well as receive an Examination of Conscience to help them pray and reflect on their choices.

Here are the reminders for the week:

  • PE today


  • French and Music today


  • PE today at 9:00 am
    • Students come to school wearing their PE strip
    • Please make sure their complete uniform is in their backpack
    • They will change into their gym shoes at school
  • Library books due today


  • Spelling List #17 goes home today
  • Library Day
  • PE today


  • Confession today @ 9:00 am
  • Jersey Dress Down Day
    • Children can come to school wearing their favourite team jersey, St. Paul spirit wear, or an item of clothing that represents a team
    • Please bring a minimum $2 donation (to support Catholic Charities of the Vancouver Archdiocese)
  • PE today
    • No PE strip needed
    • Please wear clothes that they can move around in
  • Gold Book goes home
    • They will stay home over the weekend and be brought back to school on Monday
    • Please go through the whole chapter with them
    • Complete any unfinished work
    • Please do not work ahead to the next chapters
