Grade 2

October 31-November 4

Hi Grade Two Families,

This week, we had our Walkathon assembly to celebrate all the hard work the students put into raising money for our school! At the assembly, prizes were won and the grand total was revealed. We found out that our class won the pizza party for collecting the most money in the primary division and that the Walkathon total for this year was $68, 665.43!! A heartfelt thank you for your efforts in our Walkathon fundraising!

The children also made Halloween art with their buddies this week! They used pastels and water colour paint to create fang-tastic crafts! Speaking of Halloween, if your child plans on bringing a treat to share with their classmates on Monday, please be sure they are nut-free and individually wrapped. We have 29 students in class. Please also bring in a paper bag (with handles) labelled with your child’s name. The students will decorate these bags in the morning and use them to collect any treats given out on this day.

Additionally, the children are welcome to come to school in an appropriate Halloween costume. If they prefer not to wear a costume, they can wear orange and/or black instead. Please see Ms. Moorehead’s email for more information.
