Grade 2

November 28-December 2

Hello Grade Two Families,

Happy First Week of Advent! It is the start of a new liturgical year, and a joyous one indeed! As Father Felix mentioned in Mass on Thursday, during Advent we are asked to prepare the way for the Lord for His coming at Christmas, and for His second coming. We prepare at home and at school, but most importantly we prepare our hearts. This week, the students will come up with ways to prepare their hearts for Jesus’ coming by creating a special Advent calendar with daily promises.

Speaking of preparing, the Grade Two class along with their big buddies in Grade 4 have been preparing for our Assembly on Wednesday in which we will welcome in this new liturgical year. Please join us if you can! Our class also worked on preparing artwork for the bulletin board at the south entrance of the school. This art will be displayed throughout the month of December. If you are in the school, please stop by and check it out!

Additionally, our school’s charity project this Advent supports Blanket BC Society. Students in Grade Two are asked to bring in new children’s socks between December 5th to 9th. You are also welcome to donate a new or gently used blanket. For more information please see Ms. Moorehead’s email. Thank you, in advance, for your support!
