Hello Grade One Families!
Thank-you to everyone who was able to join us for the Walkathon yesterday and to those who were with us in spirit! The children did a fantastic job of completing the walk to Garden City Play Park and back to school. The weather was super and fall was definitely in the air!
It is hard to believe that we have already come to the end of September! During the month of October, we will continue with our areas of learning from September. We will also have a focus on thanksgiving for God’s gifts as we prepare for our Assembly on October 11. Next week, we will begin our ReadWell small reading groups. The students have been practicing how to rotate through the six stations and have shown that they are ready! Thank-you for your continued support of the home reading program. If you have noticed that your child is able to read through their home reading books confidently and without errors the first time, please let me know and we will adjust the books that are coming home.
Please note the following for the upcoming week:
As you are preparing to send in the Walkathon pledge form and funds raised, please make sure that all areas of the pledge form are complete and legible. Thank-you!
