Grade 1

Week of September 28 – October 2

Hello Grade One Families!

Thank-you so much for having your children so well prepared to play outside in all of the different types of weather that we had last week! This week looks to be a bit drier, but please send a jacket because it may be needed for the outside play time and/or outside class time.

Thank-you also for remembering that the students need to wear a mask to school every day! If your child brought home their extra mask last week then it is because they needed it during the day. Please send it back to school on Monday September 28 so that it will be available for your child as needed.

There were a couple of sweater mix-ups last week which is not unusual, but I do request that you ensure that your child’s name is on all of their uniform pieces, jackets, boots etc. Thank-you!

On Monday September 28 we will have Meet the Teacher Night for the Primary classes. The Grade One presentation is at 7:00pm. I will give you a photo tour of the classroom, give a general curriculum overview for the year, and cover a few “housekeeping” items. We will also have a few minutes for general questions about Grade One. Just a reminder that due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, only one parent can attend and children are not allowed to attend. I look forward to seeing you there! If you are not able to attend then I will be in touch with you personally via email.

Please note the following reminders for this week:
