Grade 1

Week of September 20 – 24

Hello Grade One Families!

I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend! Tomorrow is the tenth day of school…the year is already flying by and we have just started! It is a good reminder to be fully present to the moments and find joy in learning together.

The students are settling in very well to the routines of the “big school” and are becoming increasingly confident in their school life. Last Wednesday during Buddy Activity time, the students worked with their Grade Four buddies to design their ideal school. They will complete the design this week and I can’t wait to see their imaginative plans. I will post them on your child’s ClassDojo Portfolio so that they can share it with you as well. Also, the students will be keeping their library books at school for now. I will let you know if this changes. They are very interested in each others’ library books leading to some awesome conversations!

Reminders (thanks to everyone who has already done these things):

~ send in a birthday photo for our school birthday board

~ login to our ClassDojo account (the code was in your child’s backpack on Friday)

~ familiarize yourself with the posts in the Class Info section of the Grade One blog
