Grade 1

Week of November 23 – 27

Hello Grade One Parents!

I was such a joy to have the opportunity to take our learning group to Mass on Wednesday morning. The students had practiced some of the responses prior to attending Mass and participated well. Fr. Smith spoke to the children about how special each one of them is and how we know that especially because Jesus died for all of us.

This was a wonderful introduction to this Sunday’s Feast of Christ the King. We are reminded that Jesus came to give His life for all of us so that we can be with Him in heaven forever. This Sunday marks the end of our liturgical year. Hopefully we have spent this past year learning more about Jesus and coming closer to Him. This Sunday we have a special opportunity to celebrate His great love for us on the Feast of Christ the King. Even though we cannot attend Mass in-person, I would encourage all families to participate in the virtual Parish Mass on Sunday as we end our liturgical year knowing that God is with us in these uncertain times and His love for us is never ending.

Thank-you for your support of our fundraiser for The Door is Open on Thursday! It was fun to hear about everyone’s travel dreams!
