Week of March 4 – 8

Hello Grade One Families!

I hope that you all had a lovely weekend in the sun!

It seems like February just flew by and March has suddenly arrived! For the next couple of weeks, we will continue exploring the same units of study introduced in January  and then begin with new questions to investigate after Spring Break.

It is a pleasure seeing the students present their sharing assignments every week. We are learning so much about each other’s interests, talents and families. Thank-you for all of your support! We are hoping to post one video for each student soon so that you can see what a great job they are doing!

This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the season of Lent. The students will all go to Mass at 11:00am on Ash Wednesday and everyone is welcome to join us. Beginning on Thursday March 7, morning Mass will begin at 8:15am. All school students are encouraged to attend morning Mass if possible and pews are reserved at the front of the church for the children. Parents are always welcome to stay for Mass as well!
