Grade 1

Week of February 28 – March 4, 2022

Hello Grade One Families!

The students are so excited about the 100th day of school which will be on Monday February 28. One of the students remarked on Friday that she can’t believe how fast the time in Grade One is passing by. I completely agree!

Ash Wednesday is also this week. It is the beginning of the season of Lent – a time for reflection and growth as we strive to change our hearts to be more like Jesus. You are very welcome to join us at 9:00am on Ash Wednesday for the school Mass. Beginning on Thursday March 3, the students are encouraged to attend daily Mass at 8:15am in the Church. You are very welcome to stay for Mass as well. As mentioned in the Thursday letter, students and staff sit at the front of the Church. Your child may leave their backpack in the vestibule of the Church to be picked up again after Mass. I will be in the vestibule of the Church before Mass most days to guide them in.
