Grade 1

Week of December 9 – 13

God of light, bring us peace.

Help us to find peace this Advent season.

Help us to prepare for the coming of the Lord.

Hello Grade One Families!

What an incredible day we had today!

I would like to thank all of the parents who helped to make our St. Nicholas Day party so enjoyable for all of the children (and hopefully the parents had a good time too!).  They had been anticipating the visit from St. Nicholas and the party with such excitement so it was wonderful for me to see their heartfelt reaction to their filled shoes, fancy decorations, yummy treats, and good times with classmates. The joy of the children was shining all morning as they celebrated and had fun together!

I would like to congratulate the students for doing such an amazing job of leading the Assembly with the Grade Four class this morning. I was so inspired by their reverence during practices and the Assembly this morning. They truly recognize what a privilege it is to have the opportunity to lead others in prayer. They are working hard to prepare their hearts for Jesus’ coming at Christmas.
