Grade 1

Week of December 6 – 10

God of Light, bring us peace.

Help us to find peace this Advent season.

Help us to prepare for the coming of Your Son, Jesus.

We make this prayer in the name of Jesus, our Peace. Amen

Hello Grade One Families!

We now find ourselves at the beginning of the second week of Advent. This is traditionally the week of peace or the week of preparation.  Amidst all of the changes, worries and stressors of our current health pandemic and flooding of our neighbours in the Fraser Valley, it is time to take a moment…many moments…to seek peace in time spent with the Lord.

Thank-you to everyone who has already let me know that their family has made a donation to the flood relief efforts. When you make your family’s donation, please let me know via email or a note in your child’s agenda book so that they can colour their ornament for the classroom giving tree.

Only two weeks to go! At this time of the year we have to be flexible and prepared for changes in our schedule to accommodate special events and the extra time that it takes very excited children to do their activities and assignments. There were some moments last week when the children were literally vibrating with inner joy! Such a wonderful time to be blessed to be a teacher of young children!

Please note these reminders for this week:
