Week of April 1 – 5

Hello Grade One Families!

I hope that you all had a wonderful, fun-filled Spring Break! We are now ready to embark on the third term of our Grade One journey together. I am looking forward to thirteen weeks of learning adventures as the students continue to grow in their spiritual, emotional and academic development. It has been a super year so far and I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to work with your children. They are teaching me a lot!

This week our Lenten focus in the classroom will be on forgiveness, including the stories of Zacchaeus and the Prodigal Son. The students are encouraged to attend morning Mass beginning at 8:15am.

We will also finish off a couple of things from before the break and begin exploring new guiding questions that will lead our learning in the month of April. I will post these questions in next week’s blog post.
